I've been living a Dutch Village for over 5 years now. During this time, the complex has gone from bad to worse to somewhat better. My spanish speaking neighbors are the best part of the complex; they range from friendly to plain leave you alone. There have been some improvements, they replaced the failing back doors with new sliding glass doors on most or all of the apartments. These doors open to a patio area with brand new fences community wide. Also most of the windows were replaced a couple of years ago. The staff has been excellent, except for the maintenace crew. They have not been able to hire and/or keep maintenace staff so repairs can be slow and of dubious quality. Still the management company seems to be aware that this is a problem and will hopefully remedy the situation some day.
It is best to remember that this is one of the least expensive appartment complexes in town, and you do get what you pay for. This is not a rose among the thorns, merely a less thorny spot.
