I love almost everything about this complex EXCEPT the fact that in the last couple months the noise level has increased significantly. Much of it seems to be coming from the car stereos of students (per campus parking decals on their cars)who live here. "Loud" does not begin to describe the noise. Students turn on the stereos when they start up their cars, when they drive through the complex, or sit in their cars and listen to their "music." If I would have known that quite a few students were living here, I would not have moved in (this comment is NOT meant to be negative against all students; rather, I have lived in complexes before where some students think the complex is one big dormitory, rather than a place where other people need to sleep to get up to work fulltime every day and to raise their families, and this is what SOME of the students here act like). Also, the couple who have just moved in below me come in at 1:00 to 2:00 in the morning and don't seem to comprehend others may be sleeping--they run up and down the stairs, slam their front door, and then drop heavy things in their apartment. This complex, like others I have moved from, appears to be expanding its student base which can be a problem for older individuals who want a little peace and quiet. While overall it is a nice place to live--the buildings are beautiful, landscaping is well maintained, and pool and exercise areas are wonderful--I would be somewhat hesitant to recommend it to others based on the increasing noise level.
