First off, I have never lived here but I did stop in for a tour. I seriously considered moving here because of location and price. The day I went by I called around 1pm and spoke with the lady that worked there and she quoted me a price and told me they would have a unit available when i needed it. She said she would leave the info for the guy coming in that evening. When I arrived the guy was sitting there with another guy that obviously lived in the apt complex and had his feet propped up on the desk. They were chatting it up about something and seemed annoyed that I was there. The other guy kept looking me up and down and it creeped me out. I told the guy that i had spoken to the lady that afternoon and he said he didnt know anything about it. When I told him what i was looking for he said they didnt have anything available for the time period and quoted me a different price for that type of apt. I told him that the lady had said that one was avail. so he looked again and said that "maybe" they could have one ready. He took me over to an apt that was not a model. It reeked of bug spray and looked to have damage to the kitchen area. He said it was the only place open that he could show. Anyways, the guy he was talking to had followed us over and kept trying to talk to me. Then I think his wife must have came in from work and he had to bolt. I seen him run down the steps to the parking lot and meet some lady. This had to be the strangest experience i have ever had looking for an apt. The apts werent bad but the staff just turned me away right off the bat. I dont want creepy people like that having access to my apt. Plus they couldnt get their rent and availibility straight. Look elsewhere and beware.

Sounds like to me that you may want to get fair housing involved.

I live here and it's very nice, other than slow maintenance (which they are working to correct). I would contact the lady you originally talked to and express your concerns about what happened to see what her attitude is and how she responds to your issue rather than assuming the worst up front. (It is also possible that between the time you talked to her and visited the site, the available apartment had already been rented). If you are still not satisfied, I would contact the property management company-sometimes that works better.

Why do all that when you can just find another apt? Its not worth the time. If I get a bad vibe from the place up front, there is no way im going to move in. There are too many other places in WS. As you say the maint is slow and obviously the front office people are morons...who does that leave? You are most likely mgmt trying to write a reply so this review doesnt look bad. Oh well.
