Think the low rent is worth it' Do your homework! Problems from the get go for me. The day I was to move in, they tried to let me in to a 1 bed room, when me lease was for a 2 bed 2 bath. There was not even an apartment ready for my fiance and I. I was told the apartment had not been cleaned and the carpet had not been shampood, but would be ready in a few days. Well, the place was absolutely filthy, I mean disgusting, when we finally moved in. A few days later maintenance came to fix washer connections and busted a hole through our wall, and it took three months for them to come fix it.
Oh, and you might as well not even bother paying rent, because regaurdless the office will say you didn't. We were woken by a Sherrif on a few occasions, with court papers saying we had not paid our rent on several occasions. The staff has changed several times over the past two years, but not for the better. They were never good, but even worse now. Just plain rude and stupid in the office.
The police are in and out of here all the time. I garuntee you will see the police about once a week, if not more. (they used to have to constantly patrol the place.) I see the Crime Scene Unit WAY too often.
You can hear people fighting late at night. And if you leave your apartment late in the night, dont leave alone, or have some kind of protection. There are ghetto people wondering around all night.
The quality of the buildings is horrible. You will burn up in the summer and freeze in the winter. The walls and floors are so thin, you can hear your neighbors using the bathroom (so they can probably hear you too). Parking can also be a pain, especially when you are hauling in groceries.
Nothing for kids, they keep tearing down playgrounds and only open one of the pools. There is always trash all over the place and dog crap is everywhere!
I can go on and on, but....
Just look else where!

Mmmm. Supper was good. I had two helpings, went to Target and got some cool movies at a good price, came back and watched one. Now where was I? Oh yeah. Springhouse really is a NOT good place to live if you are a peace loving, polite individual. Notice I'm not angry as I was in my previous posts. I have mood swings and there WAS a full moon tonight so... Anyway! No, it really isn't safe anymore. Not that it really ever was but, I'm saving most of the juicey stuff for my interview. I tell ya, it's surprisingly quiet tonight. Usually you hear somebody's loud mouth as they come in drunk with their bonehead friends from what ever it is they've been doing all night. There are a few good people around here. People of all races just so you know that I'm not racist. If I had my way, everyone would look the same and NO they wouldn't all be white. Maybe blue or purple. Maybe even the colors of a rainbow. I have a sleep dissorder and that's why I'm usually up this late. I used to think about patrolling the neighborhood at night but, I need to get back in shape to do that. Besides, I've misplaced my numbchucks. Maybe I'll pop in to the fleamarket this weekend for some decent offensive and defensive equipment. With my luck though, I'd be walking around here at 3am dressed like a samurai and some quack would call the cops. You know... Those guys who ride through here, watching for stuff after it's already happened? What a bunch of chumps. We need somebody to keep watch around here at night and not just watching from their own houses either. We need to get a group a vigilantes together to stamp out the scum that we've let creep in to this place. I don't mean killing anyone, just beating the ---- out of them is all. When you allow your neighborhood to go under like this one is in the proccess of doing, you're basicly giving in to a type of terrorism. How many other SH residents feel scared when they walk around outdoors just as the sun is going down? You can literally FEEL the negativety in the air when you step outside. You can walk in to certain areas around here and FEEL the malice of someone staring at you with hateful feelings. Just like those little punks who pulled the firealarm a few days ago. I saw them. No, I didn't see them do it but, I saw them getting ready and then afterward I saw them run around the other end of the building. They even had one of the local kids involved who is normally good and stays out of trouble. The others didn't even live here and later when I was outside, walking around, the same kids came my way. I tried to be polite and smile but, nooooo! The one on his little chrome bike wanted to play staredown so, I stared him down. Most of these little badass types come over here from Cherryview. Kids and punks from Cherryview have been coming over to SH, vandalizing stuff since the place was built. Sometimes the drunks come over and hang out on the sidewalk between the tennis court and the pool. They block the whole walk to intimidate the residents from going that way and when they finish their booze, they leave the bottles all over the grass. They usually break the rails on the bridges too but, someone finally got the bright idea to reinforce them recently. I've been pondering that idea for the last 2 years but, never mentioned it because those stuck up jerks who run the office would never consider the advice of a lowely HUD resident. You know it's true. I have a lot of ideas to make this place nice again or atleast not as bad as it is now but, why bother talking to Blaimco? They don't really want this place to get better. They only want it to get worse and worse like Forest Ridge then, sell it off as scrap -FR went for $10.00- and move on to destroy another community. Anyone looking for a place to live would be better off in their parents' leaky basement. |

There is not anyone in that office qualified to do the accounting. Be prepared for misplaced rent because it will more than likely happen at some point. Don't count on a good response from the office, they don't regard the residents as a priority. The main priority is getting the apartments filled at any cost so that they can look good for the management company.
