bait and switch!

Generally I like this apartment and the community. I haven't had many of the negative experiences described here. HOWEVER, the management pulled a bait and switch when it came to renewing my lease. they sent me a written offer of lease renewal that worked nicely with my near-future plans. After it was too late to give notice I was moving, they changed the terms so I can only sign a short lease, and then I have to sign a lease for a lot more money per month. It's totally legal, I checked around, so they can TOTALLy do this to anyone. It's just shady that if I move now, I violate my lease, but if I don't leave now, I'm stuck either moving in winter or in a lease I can't afford. The manager actually laughed at me when I explained this, so clearly, they know what they're doing. Watch out when dealing with this complex!

Yes idiot. They send out letters about 2 months in advance. So u can make up ure mind. That is the price u have to pay if u wait to late. Nothing wrong with that at all. I doubt management laughed at you, because they are not like that. Frank and Carmen are fabulous!

I sympathise with "-Anonymous-". Do whatever it takes to get out of SH even if you have to take on an extra job or two. Also try looking outside the North Point area as it is rapidly becoming a slummy area. Good luck. You're going to need it. |

I too have had the same problem with this complex. I do not recommend "The Waverly" to anyone especially with this "new" management. Besides, all of the extras such as the 2 pools, the workout center etc., is never operating correctly. And, I hope you never have to visit to laundry facility!

The management does not care about their residents. They only care about getting commissions from renewals, the more they raise the rent, the more commission they make!

Thank you (first response). Clearly you didn't read my comment carefully. The management changed their initial offer AFTER I was within the 60 day period to notify. That is, AFTER. As I said, totally legal and totally sleazy. Oh I get it, you must be trying to get a job here...
