I really liked this place in the beginning. My husband and I were comforted by the fact that they do background checks on every tenant before they move in but shortly after I moved in there was the incident of a guy with the butcher knife in the hallway. My rent the first year I lived here, Fairview 1646, went up by $20 my sister-in-law lived in Fairview 1664 there rent never went up, I just received a letter again informing me that if I renew my lease agian for April my rent, (if I sign another year lease will go up another $20), will be $670. I don't understand how rent can raise every year. The walls are dirty, there are parties every weekend and most of the time during the week. Management says parties don't happen here and if they do just complain and the partying tenant will be evicted after the second complaint. I called the police on some neighbors about a month ago then called the office, I was informed that there has been numerous complaints about this neighbor, they still live here. Also the entery way is always a mess, there are beer cans and bottles left in there, cigarette packs and butts, papers are thrown throughout, and it usually smells of cigarette smoke in the hallways.

that's very disapointing! i'm not sure about goldmark anymore :(

I've lived at Fairview since January and have the same complaints! It's disgusting how dirty the place is!! Our garage door opener has NEVER worked, even though we've taken it in several times. Also, apparently Goldmark is incapable of finding someone who can move the snow in a timely manner. They are so incompetent that we got other people's eviction notices on our door 3 times already--those poor suckers are getting kicked out of another builting and they don't even know it! Our lease is up at the end of June and we got the letter saying rent will go up $50. I have no idea how they can justify raising the rent that much after just 6 months--especially with the state of the place. We're going to be moving out.
