Not bad to live here...

Years at this apartment: 2009 - 2009
We have lived here for almost two years now. For the most part, I love living here. The building is secured, and we can see who is at the door via the television. Everyone gets a two car garage. The fitness room always looks clean. There is a vending machine and soda machine on site. Every apartment is also furnished with a washer and dryer. The staff has been friendly to us since we've been here, too. Oh, and its quiet.. which is something I love!
My issues:
The air conditioner. They have it set up to where it only gets cold when it hits a certain temperature outside. I believe its 75. This is difficult for us because we get hot at the end of spring! And the "cooler knob" doesn't function as it should. When you put it to the coolest setting, it doesn't really get cooler. When maintenance came in, that is what he told me.
The heater. I have mentioned this problem on two occasions. During our first winter here, we mentioned how something with the heater isn't working properly. Someone came in and said nothing was wrong. This winter, we mentioned our issue again. If the reading says it is 72 in the apartment, and we want it a bit warmer, the ONLY way to kick the heater into gear is to put it on 80. And let me tell you, that sucks. It gets way hot in here. So we have to turn it up to 80, turn it back down when it gets hot, turn it back up when it gets cold, and turn it back up. Shouldn't it be 75 and STAY at 75 if that is what you put it on' So, someone came to look at it, said something was funky with the gadget on the wall, fixed it, but we're still having the same issue.
Parking. There is nowhere to park. There are probably 10 spots for guests out front, and a few more out back. Otherwise, nothing.
This isn't exactly the apartment's fault, I don't think.. but the no parking section right by the NW door end up being a parking spot for some - like the guys who come by to do the grass or get rid of snow. Try parking if you live in one of the spots when someone is parked there...
