Is is hard to find a place to start about the forest park apartments. To begin the appliances were manufactured in 1970, the freezer has no way to defrost(unless you unplug it and let your food spoil),and to top it off you can not turn the settings down so your milk is always frozen. The plumbing fixtures have leaked terribly since we moved in, every time we have used the one in the kitchen it leaks water all over, the issues has been brought up to management several times. The kitchen is carpeted and they refuse to replace it for a tiled floor, even though it is extremely dirty and probably has mold underneath which is a terrible health hazard. We have asked them several times and they will not do it.

The washer and dryer on our floor are alright except the fact that one washer is extremely old, only one dryer works (poorly.) The inoperable dryer has been that way since day one only the broken sign is removed and it still doesn't work.

This summer (read 100F for several days)we decided to request our 1960 model a/c unit be swapped out for one that worked. We finally got one which was swapped from another apartment when someone moved out, 3 weeks later. The same slow service was repeated when the sliding glass door handle broke off (fire hazard).

Several small problems still exist with our apartment such as: outlets that don't work, poor parking, burglaries caused by neighbors leaving their garages unlocked.

Lately things have been getting worse. We got a service animal 2 months ago because of a doctors treatment plan. The puppy is alone for around 2 hours per day which apparently is enough time to disturb the peaceful enjoyment of the forest park management office (not defined as tenants in the lease) by "barking constantly". We attempted to reason with the management by abiding by the reasonable accommodation agreement (plus a bit more) but all we ended up with more and more notes on the door. The notes continued until they read remove the dog, which is not an option. So after contacting the regional manger for IMM(-------)we came to the agreement that the dog was to go to doggie day care($6 a day). All the office seems to do is harass us an put a note on our door in an attempt to evict. We decided to abide rather than seek a legal route for now. Things get better by the day with this Michelle character, today she decides that the beware of dog sign taped to the glass window is an alteration and must be removed. The sign is there for our liability as well as the management and tenants. Sometimes I wonder if they picked this lady up at the bus station and assumed she knew how to manage an apartment complex. One thing is for certain she does not posses the ability to be reasonable.
