I moved into Forest Park last spring and it has been ok. It's relatively cheap and you have a decent amount of space. Good if you're a college student that is looking for a cheap place and don't mind noise. It's kind of a loud place to live. If you are on the playground side of the building, kids are always running and screaming (like kids do) and good luck actually using the pool in the summer because it's always packed with kids. I also have very loud neighbors that tramp up the stairs at odd hours. My neighbors smoke a lot too. According to policy, they can smoke in their own apartments, but it always lingers in the hall and into my own apartment. The appliances are on the older side, but mine all work still. The laundry facilities have older washers and dryers. They work, but the dryers take a couple times to actually get your clothes dry. It is a year long lease. My year with them was ok, but I'm moving on to somewhere else...

where would you recomend moving then? I am a student originally from Wisconsin in search of an affordable (cheap) & near UND campus apartment. Lets say between the $500 a month or less range! I plan to move to Grand Forks while attending UND for my major in Norwegian & International Studies. However, I am currently studying in Norway right now and am unable to scope out Grand Forks thoroughly before starting school this Fall 2008! Any information/help would be extremely appreciated!
