I've lived at the Legacy for about 2 years and it has to be one of the most pleasent apartments I've lived in. Especially for what's available in Grand Forks. My building in particular seems to have mostly older couples or military living there, so it's really quiet. Maintenance takes care of everything that day if you let them know of a problem in the morning, or by mid-day the next day of it was reported later in the day. The apartments are very spacious, especially the 3 bedrooms. It's close to shopping (mall and Super Target) and eating establishments.

About the only downsides I've experianced while living that the Legacy is some of the neighbors can be quick to complain about noise. I had an upstairs neighbor that was quick to call and make complaints (more than 4 in one night), when we weren't being overly loud. Someone from the complex had even come over to investigate after the 3rd complaint that night and acknowledged that we weren't being too loud. The next morning, we recived a phone call from managment saying that we were going to have our first official warning listed on our record. We solved it by going down and explaining to the manager what had happened, and no official action was taken. The other pain is the garage. I have an older garage that slopes down. With all the snow melting, I am having flooding problems. There was an attempt to fix the flow of water once, but the garage still floods. I have had as much as an inch of standing water in my garage, which ruined a suit case that couldn't fit off the floor. There is mold on the walls of the garage due to the flooding occuring over and over again, and the bottom of the wall is rotted away from the water. Management is aware and has apologized, but it's not a quick fix, so I don't anticipate the problem before I leave.

Overall, great experiance living there. I've recommended it to friends who've also been satisfied. If you can afford it, consider it!
