Lived in this complex for a year. For the most part had no real issues. The apartments were fairly well maintained and located in fairly safe area. However my issue came when it was time for check out!! My roommate and I had scheduled a date for check out and then were told it needed to be rescheduled. Ok fine, but we were unable to find a time that worked for all of us, so we arranged a "pre-checkout" (big mistake!!) We had management walk our apartment and tell us that our apartment looked better than most and that we should be fine. Come to find out they charged us for several hours of cleaning and claimed we broke the fridge! So much for all our hard work cleaning! Coinsidently, my roommate and I knew the new tenants of our apartment, and they told us that the place had not been repainted and there was definatly not a new firdge in the unit! We attempted to talk to managment but got nowhere, we even took it to the head of the managment company located in minot and were treated horribly! We are 2 responsible college girls, who always paid rent on time, never threw any parties or caused any complaints, but we were treated as if we'd been the worst tenants ever!! My roommate and I ended up getting barely any deposit back and feel we were taken advantage of big time!! These are nice apartments, by Grand Forks standards, and many college kids rent from them. Several other of our college friends have had the same issues with this apartment complex!! So please, please learn from our mistake!! You NEED to be there for checkout, and if you can't take pictures!! It's the one way to prove you got screwed!!
