This is my very first review, ever! I couldn't possibly pass this one.

If you need to rent a place in Grand Forks, I would highly recommend West Ridge Apts! It is very new, quiet, safe, and most importantly has the best manager you could ever ask for. She's most friendly and helpful, and takes good care of everybody. When I was away for vacation, she even watered my plants. Despite the rough weather, I had a feeling of "home sweet home" at West Ridge. It's worth mentioning that I received my full deposit back the same week that I moved out, plus, to my pleasant surprise, three-year's interest!!

Actually I discovered West Ridge after I had seen the so-so Legacy and I am still very happy that I did!

Response to previous post This post is absolutely correct ??? Lynn was a wonderful manager, who actually cared about her tenants and was so pleasant to work with. However, Lynn is no longer working as the manager of Westridge apartments. She was replaced by an arrogant jerk who obviously despises his job and intends only to make life hell for his tenants. I have also lived at Westridge for three years, and up until this week have never had a complaint. During Lynn???s management she was very courteous and helpful to her tenants, I once forgot my keys and needed to be let into my apartment, she did this without hesitation. Last week I had my car back in fargo to have some work done and accidently forgot to place my apartment keys on my loner car. On Friday I realized this mistake and based on the last episode with Lynn I thought there would be no problem with having the manager let me in. I made sure I left work early to catch him at the office. To my surprise the office was closed and I had no way of getting into my apartment. When I called the office line I was transferred to a very rude on-site manager who lectured me on not having my keys and not having a roommate to let me in. She abruptly hung up on me and said she would have someone over there. I waited there for this woman to arrive who upon finding me continued to lecture me that they would be charging me $25 dollars the next time this happened. I thanked her for letting me in and thought that would be the end of it. Until Wednesday when I received a call from Greg, the new manager, who said he had some things to talk to me about. I rearranged my schedule to meet him back at the office, and upon arriving I was immediately lectured by him about forgetting my keys and the fact that I would be charged $25 the next time this happened. He also lectured me about being rude to this woman. When I responded that it was actually her that was not treating me so kindly he of course didn???t believe me and tried to substantiate this claim by saying no one has ever complained about her and she deals with 164 units a day. So I must have been the one that was rude and unpleasant. He continued to lecture me that letting people into their units is ???not their job??? and this is why ???people should have extra keys???. Needless to say I am not very impressed by my first meeting with this new manager and after being treated this way it is my full intent to move out in May when I am finished with school. I was planning on staying at my apartment and living there for several more years to come but after this incident I WILL NOT voluntarily subject myself to this treatment.

You must be speaking Greg. He glares at me when I pass him in the bulding, which is only on tuesday-thursday from 10-4 since hes never here monday or friday. He very rude and doesnt give you much privacy. After receiving a noise complaint after living here for 10 months I would turn the corner and find him standing outside my door listening, he looks for reasons to evict you if you are a college student. The apartments are nice, but at the end of the day its still just another apartment, I would honestly rather live in an older unit than here wondering when Greg is going to knock on my door to replace the "furnace filter". He stands in my living room looking around for things to charge me for when I move out. He can't wait to try and get me to replace the carpet. He even made a comment about how i smells, Its not my fault the oven is old and stinks. If i didnt hate moving all my heavy furniture and going through the hassle of listening to other jerk landlords, despite beings jerks are still better than Greg, i would leave today if I could. Nice place, but feel like a guest and not a tenant
