best management I've ever had

Years at this apartment: 2009 - 2009
I've lived in 10 or so apartments in 15 years since graduating from high school, and this place has the best management I've seen.
I had a 3br 2ba that wasn't particularly spacious, but the 3rd floor vaulted ceilings helped. If you're curious: a king bed and a dresser barely fit in the largest bedroom, although they're all about the same size. 2 car garage comes standard w/3br, as do the washer and dryer in the utility room/closet near the unit's entryway. The tile in the kitchen and baths was a really nice touch, and I really liked the dark beige color they use on their walls. We had a corner unit, where noise is usually less anyway, but the construction was a high enough quality that we barely noticed any noise from the lateral or downstairs neighbors. No elevator, but the stairwells are open enough to haul the biggest furniture up and down (unit entry door is oversized, as well). Finally, the whole building, including each unit, was outfitted with fire sprinklers. That might be standard these days, I guess I don't know...
I also liked the location; close to pizza, beer, and a butcher shop. What more do you need' Also, the nicest grocery store in town (Hornbachers south) is also the closest one. Turning left onto Sheyenne CAN be a huge problem at the wrong time of day, however... Use the stoplight if it's around 8am.
As I said, the office was very friendly and accommodating from the day they showed me around to the day they checked me out. Always polite on the phone, always smiling when you come in, and always willing to help with requests like moving in a day early or choosing the open unit that you like best (I was looking for one on the south side so I could have lots of sunshine).
Maintenance was prompt and friendly; if I had a problem with a faucet or something during the night, I'd submit my problem via the web and someone would show up in the morning. I did a pretty good job of cleaning, and they charged very little for the small things (like burner pans) that I had left untouched... Total deposit lost was around $30.
The only complaint I had arose with rent submission via credit card. They use an outside vendor to process payments, and that vendor charges something like $30 to take your payment (!). I was out of town once during rent time and had to use it to make a payment, and for 30 bucks it took over a week to process the payment, and the office thought my payment was late. They were very apologetic, but I wish they could take a credit card payment directly at their location without extra fees.
Overall: highly recommended, and I'll be back with them if I can get rid of this house by the river... :-/
