Ridiculous, I would never recommend this place to anyone

Years at this apartment: 2008 - 2009
My husband and I moved into this place in September of 2008. At first glace its a great place, the staff was very friendly, and it has a lot to offer, a washer and dryer in the unit, and no gas bill, but it all went downhill from there.
The fist month we were there we were watching a Husker football game, just my husband, myself and one friend, and we had a knock at the door from maintenance saying that we were too loud, and that the cops would be called if they had to come back. We could hear our clock ticking over our T.V., so I guess we should be watching everything on mute.
Maintenance came into our apartment in the early winter and drilled a hole in the wall because they hand not insulated the water pipes that run to the sprinkler system on the balcony, and left mess for me to clean up, and left a howl in the wall. They came back months later to patch the hole.
In the winter they only make a path with the snow blower, it gets extremely icy on the front step right outside the entry to the apartment, and I always have to walk over a snow drift to get into my car, also if you work early in the morning don't expect any snow removal to have occurred, I leave at 7 am, and snow is never scooped before that time.
Just as other's have commented the noise is terrible, I haven't have a problem hearing other's TV's but the trains run right by the apartments ours is close to the crossing, so its really loud. The bedroom wall faces the stairwell, so you can hear people going in and out the front door, and up and down the stairs. The windows are terrible especially in the winter time, if you don't wipe them down every day, mold grows because of the condensation.
If you love sports the cable offered sucks, no ESPN, you can get a dish, but its not that great either, and expensive.
If a problem ever arises where you can't pay your rent on time be careful, we had an unexpected car expense, and asked if we could pay half the rent on the first and the other half on the 15, they staff said they would not take partial payment, and said paying on the 15 would be no problem. We got an eviction notice in the mail telling us if we didn't pay by money order or cashier's check we would be evicted. We paid dropped our rent check in the rent deposit on the night of the first once, and received a notice in our door that we owed a $20 late fee, that had to be paid on the day the notice was received due to rent being received on the 2nd of the month.
Oh, and we received a letter from management asking if we had people living with us, they said they were made aware by one of our neighbors that someone else was living in our apartment other than my husband and myself. I don't know were they got that idea, we aren't there that often, much less having another person living with us.
I would highly recommend living somewhere else; this is the worst experience I have ever had with an apartment complex.
