Alpine Village Apartments

Do not rent at Alpine Village. They do not follow the terms of their written agreement, they do not understand the terms of their written agreement. They tow your car if it's parked longer than 24 hours (and sometimes if management from California gets a wild hair and just guesses it's been there that long), they call the police the day your tags expire.
They enter the dwelling without advance notice; instead they place a blanket notice in the hall for a date range so you cannot know when they're coming around to supervise them. Resident relations does not answer the phone, or they promise to call you back and never do. On top of that they jack up your rent to $650/month for a one bedroom (a small one bedroom at that) while still advertising that same unit for $525 on craigslist.
They force you to carry renter's insurance which covers mostly them for an additional $12/month. My windows were smashed out by vandals on two of my vehicles on two separate occasions and instead of showing some sympathy they towed my car. Three times - without affixing notice. Into a different county. Imagine getting up for work after a weekend of staying in, only to find out you have no car to drive to work with. Parking is inadequate. Only spots available in the evening are in areas where vandals can get to them and if you do get a good spot, it is gone within 5 minutes of leaving because people don't want to risk keeping their car in a spot where vandalism occurs.
The apartments are in pretty good condition, although some of them are laid out so badly you can't fit anything bigger than a twin in them. The trim and painting jobs demonstrate hasty construction. The shower runs out of hot water after about 15 minutes.
What can I really say that's good about this place' If you want to live here, don't plan on staying long. Renters are moving out left and right because the people from Richdale Management are jerks, and they squeeze the people who stay for extra cash. Expect a $100/month rent increase out of nowhere. They don't care about people who have been there a long time.
I've rented several places and this is by far the worst. I even lived behind a bar in a cockroach infested studio, and had my car smashed by drunks, windows broken, items stolen, but at least there my car was not towed a single time by hostile management.
