I really liked it here

I lived here for a year and 4 months and overall I really liked it. I had no problems with management at all. No problems with the neighbors, except for my downstairs neighbor, they smoked on their balcony so it would draft up to me and the teenage daughter was always having late night drama with her boyfriend that would wake me up. But as soon as they moved out life was great at Shadowridge. I had a top floor apartment looking out to the courtyard, basketball court, and pool. I loved seeing the kids playing basketball and swimming in the pool. Maintenance was awesome, any time I had something go wrong they responded within 24 hours no problems.

When I first moved in they told me that they had started renovating the apartments. They did this as people moved out. The apartment I moved into was not renovated, so the carpet/cabinets/tub/sinks/appliances etc. were all outdated. As a result, the kitchen was dark and drab (dark brown cabinets). However I don't think anyone moves into these old apartments any longer, and the new cabinets are bright white.

I really loved the size of the apartment for the price. And it was fairly clean when I moved in. The balcony is a good size, large enough for a small chair for me to sit and read. The living room is huge and comfortably held all of my furniture, as did the bedroom. However I did not like the lack of storage. The large closet at the end of the hall is a very good size, and a person can skillfully fill it with a lot of stuff, but I was coming from a 3 bedroom house so I did not have enough room for everything and so I did end up having to rent a storage unit.

Another negative about the apartments is the sharing of the hot water heater. If I had to shower during peak hours, there was no hot water left. Luckily I had to be to work much earlier then normal people (6 am) so this rarely happened to me.

Otherwise, I really liked it here. Pleasant atmosphere, CONVENIENT location (grocery stores/restaurants/walmart/blockbuster/carwash etc. all within minutes), great management, and they accept dogs (how great is that!) I would definitely recommend these apartments.
