Having owned a home for 33 years before moving to Omaha, I was concerned about giving up my privacy and "space". But Southwind Villas was perfect for us.

It is a smaller complex, pricey, but you get benefits for that: peace and quiet, a clean facility and nice features such as indoor pool and a nice exercise room. The walking trail for the neighborhood is just outside the gate, so that is conveniet also.

The on premise staff are all extremely nice and cordial -businesslike but not afraid to be friendly.

I don't hear the neighbors, save for a door closing, and there is not noise from either kids or dogs in the buildings. One small quirck is that the west side of the complex has more additional parking spaces than the east side, but with each having a single car garage and driveway for one car, it isn't too bad.

While only here for 3 months so far, I'm more than pleased, and my only concern is if the units will stay warm in the winter. The slight negative is that the buildings are all wired by QWEST and the only tv choice is Direct TV, which hasn't work well for us so far.
