Big Mistake

I moved here from out of state and had chosen an apartment strictly based on what I saw online. They look decent and were close enough to the University for me to buy into what they were offering. From the day I signed my lease, we had problems - not with the apartment, but with the terrible group of people that have somehow have acquired the term "management." I have never lived in a more poorly ran apartment complex than that of Black Sand. I was in desperate need of a prescription that was being shipped to me and I was unable to make it to the office before they closed. I called and explained my situation and how I needed to get that package.. For some ungodly reason, this complex office is NOT opened on the weekend. The woman said that they would not wait and that if I was not there by the time they closed that I would have to wait until MONDAY! They have been nothing but rude and moody everytime I have had to either go in or call. They randomly leave during the middle of the day, lock up and are gone for hours. You NEVER know when someone will actually be at the office. I have been counting down months before I could get out of here, and though I've made it.. I would definitely NOT recommend these apartments. Yes rent is cheap, but you get what you pay for. I have heard full fledge conversations that have been held in the hallway from my bedroom. I can hear the people above me talk and run their w/d machines. Everytime the door closes, you hear it. Just a bad overall experience..

Well, they do post the office hours at the front of the office and even UPS has open and closed hours. They are open on the weekends now which is how I could get my cell phone replacement, but I am sure if you had told them what the package was and if it was an important medication, the office would have made arrangements for you. Also, sometimes the office is closed up when the office people have to show apartments. I have watched Quincy go off with a possibel new tenant and I just know I have to wait. The manager doesn't just sit at the desk and neither do the leasing people, I mean, they had to leave the office to show me an apartment and if they are busy, well, then I guess we all just have to wait until the office staff gets back.
