I have been at Folsom Ridge Apartments for coming up on one year. When I first moved in last December, I went through and wrote down everything that was wrong and handed it in. After getting everything unpacked, I noticed that 4 of the blinds were gone and 2 hung up by scotch tape. I called and called to get these fixed due to privacy and never once got a return. The maintenance has a key and when they finally get a chance to fix anything around here they just come in and do there business and leave. God forbid I wasn't ever naked or anything and I'm glad the maintenance doesn't sell these apartments since they are "so nice." I have been terrified that my house will catch on fire due to the breakers going out anytime I have the TV on at the same time as the microwave. The list goes on and on.
I am a business owner and not being able to pick up packages at my home all the time means they are either taken back to UPS or given to the office. I specifically told the girls and guy at the desk to let me know when they receive anything for me, and low and behold I am calling places re-ordering my items because I never received them at all and had no idea the clubhouse had it since they seem to take 20 breaks a day being impossible to get ahold of.
So the communication is awful, the maintenance is terrible, and I just want to get out. So trying to put my notice in this past weekend was interesting. I go in Saturday and they are gone, go in Sunday and they are on break, go in today and once again they are out doing who knows what. I really hate leaving a $510 check on the floor but I was so frustrated with tracking these people down that I left it. Then I get a phone call today saying that I have to stay through January due to me being hours late on my notice. Being a business owner, if I was in their position, I would be doing everything I could to get me to stay or at least let me leave on a good note. Instead they are making me stay another month, move during the holidays, and go through all of this crap.
I get asked all of the time where might a good place to rent be and if I like my complex. Talking to hundreds of people a week my voice is powerful and this complex not only lost me for good but lost everyone I talk to about my service received.
I do not recommend this facility to anyone. Go somewhere where they actually care about your living and want to make sure you feel safe and warm where you live; after all, it is where you call home.
