I have lived in Highpointe for 2 years now. I am moving back to Chicago and am very disappointed that no place like Highpointe exists there!
1. The management is wonderful, in fact, several know me by name and chat with me when I pick up packages or pay rent. While out of town, a large snowstorm affected the area, and my catsitter couldn't make it over to my apartment, I called the office and they actually went over to check on my cat not once but twice. They always host events at the clubhouse and at the pool. They always give me fair notice when they will be entering my apartment.
2. Excellent maintenance people. My dishwasher was acting up, I called the office, and they sent someone over within 5 minutes. I was astonished. I also have had problems with my water heater leaking out into the dining room. It was cleaned and fixed the same day. There has been a couple of water main breaks on the property which were fixed and water was back on same day.
3. This is an excellent location, located in a quaint neighborhood. After living on Greek Row in a Chicago area university and having to call 911 all the time, this place has been a nice and quiet respite.
4. When I met with them to see the property and sign a lease, they were very cordial to me and my parents who came with. Even asking us for water. After seeing some other complexes closer to UNL, we fell in love with how comfortable the management made us feel. Sure it is a hike for me to get to UNL, but I'm glad I made the decision to living here. My cat and I will sorely miss it!
