Kensington Park Apartments
AVERAGE RATING

I am writing about the terrible time we had living at Kensington Park. The communicate is terrible between staff, they were unable to find our orignial signed lease when asked. They are very terrible about scooping the sidewalks when it snows and the stair. There are multiple times that I almost fell walking down from our 3rd story apt. Their animal policy is a joke, at first they said you can have dogs and then the next minute they say they aren't allowed. We decided to leave Kensington Park and will NOT recommend this place to anyone.

I don't understand where you are coming from. I have been here for over 10 years, and intend to stay here until I can no longer live on my own. The pet policy has been, and still is, that dogs under 15 lbs. are permitted with a pet deposit. The snow removal is as good as any public place in Lincoln and regarding ice - that is a hazard of living in NE. you simply have to use common sense, be careful and wear appropriate foot gear. I would highly recommend Kensington Park to any serious, responsible person who wants a quiet, great place to call home!

I can completely understand where you are coming from! The staff could not find my original lease when I was getting ready to move out either. It was ridiculous! Also, I understand that snow and ice comes along with living in Lincoln, but it was ridiculous that they could not even put some salt or something down on the walkways or stairs! I did fall and hit my head on one of the steps because of the ice, and when I told management about this, they informed me that they were not responsible and I needed to be more careful. I would not recommend these apartments to anyone either!

Maybe you hit your head too hard because I too have lived at Kensington for over 10 years and have never experienced what you describe. The staff has always been prompt and friendly. My neighbor was off work with health issues for a period of time and management gave them grocery gift certificates to help them during that difficult time. So for anyone to bad mouth Kensington I too would say, any serious, responsible (MATURE) person who wants a quiet, great place to call home, come out to Kensington!

Ice and snow are to be expected. I always thought that they tried to clean things off in a very timely manner, and I was impressed by how well the office staff communicated with each other. I was always treated with kindness by the staff there, which is far more than I can say for my current apartment. And, for their pet policy, I believe that it may have changed, but the only thing that changed while we were there was that dogs were allowed, and they were very efficient in informing people about it. I would agree with the person above me that Kensington Park is a great place to call home, and I'm sad that my husband and I had to move because of school opportunities. If you think that things were bad at Kensington, then you are going to be in a very rude awakening when you go elsewhere!

Someone knows how to tell tall tales. If you feel that they couldn't find your lease then file a complaint with the city or state. I have a file that is filled with 15 years of my residency here. From my very first apartment and lease to my current apartment and lease. The current staff is very prompt and friendly. I wouldn't think of living anywhere else. I have and will continue to refer my family and friends. By the way, they are very happy I turned them on to Kensington! I agree, this is Nebraska weather, live with it! Pets? The policy has worked well since they started allowing pets. I just don't get where you are coming from but we are glad you moved.
