It's difficult to figure out what was worse, the building or the management. I'll start with the building first...and in one word, cheap. Everything about this apartment is cheaply made. Utility bills are outrageous because of the poor insulation and gaping holes between doors and the outside world. You can hear everything your neighbors say and do. When things are repaired, after a 3-5 calls, it is done in the same poor-quality manner in which it was done originially. If you don't like insects, don't live here. I vacuumed up about 10 dead pill bugs and 5 dead spiders every few days. And when you move out you get shafted with bogus and overly-inflated charges.
The front office people are horrible as well. They don't address your concerns. When I moved in my apartment was filty. When I complained, the office woman just smiled and said she was sorry. You have to go through the office to get cable or internet, and they add their own hook-up and disconnect fees. They even called me because my fiance stayed the night sometimes and wasn't on the lease.
This complex is completley horrible. Go down the road (less than a mile) to Holmes Lake Apartments and get a room that is very well built and managment that actually listens and cares about your concerns and is not there just to rip you off.

The utility bills being high is very much true. The windows and walls are cheap and thin you can indeed hear your neighbor. I have talked with ours about hearing him speak about his taxes, he was shocked. The bugs are in full force in the summer around the pool because there is so much vegetation here, as for your apt we have found a few. We told the office and they sprayed. Its now 2011 and the management is great so many its new staff. By the way your water bill is never less than $33 a month, expensive, bc you are splitting it with everyone who lives here. About moving out and them charging you; just pay their maids 70 to clean you place right before you move out, keep the receipt, and when they give back your deposit it should all be there. After all it was their staff that cleaned your place, the same staff that wouldve cleaned right after you left.
