I signed a contract for lease for a corporate appartment in Lenox village lincoln,to start on 6/20 the agency is called corporate quarters is located in Omaha, paid a check of 350$ as a SECURITY DEPOSIT was told that only 150$ is nonrefundable, cancelled my contarct a week before the rent on 6/13/07 , the appartment was occupied until 5/31/07 as I was informed by the leasing office so I coudn't get in to see it from inside, was told that furniture will not be delivered until the 19th of June a day before rent period, asked for my security deposit refund was denied the request as my contract says they have the right to reject refund, I paid 350$ for a service I didn't get, plus no appartment has been held off the market nor furniture has been delivered.

It doesn't matter if you actually moved in or not; if you said you were going to take the apartment, but decided not to, they have every right to keep your deposit. Look it up in Fair Housing Laws.
