What a find these have been! I couldn't be more satisfied. After paying $745/mo. to live in a brand-new, two bedroom "luxury" apartment, I feel cheated! I now have a one bedroom with den and 1.5 bath, all for $620/mo. And best of all, these apartments are brand-new, with all sorts of amenities that lend themselves to a quality lifestyle. For instance, the keys to your apartment are electronic, and they're the same keys you need to get into your building. This is handy when carrying in large bags of groceries. Also, there is an elevator in each unit, which would come in handy for moving to 2nd or 3rd floor. The apartments are well lit, spacious, and well insulated. The only complaints I have with them so far are pretty minor ones -- for instance, the floors are a little thin, so occasionally we hear footsteps from above (though not much talking). Also, the paint on the walls comes off a little too easily, even from poster tape! But aside from these minor drawbacks the apartments are really well built. I could go on and on -- nice cabinets, spacious kitchens, ceiling fans in the living room and bedroom, good air circulation, w/d hookups and many other things.
Management is another positive aspect of Lexington Ridge. They have been quick to respond to all maintenance requests and have done everything that they said they would do. After my experiences elsewhere, it is a tremendous relief to find management that cares about its residents.
Also, the apartments are located in a great part of Lincoln. The area is really developing fast. There are banks, gas, fast food, bars, and a pharmacy all within walking distance. Also, grocery stores are only 5 minutes away if you hop on O Street. The area is new and clean, and the roads have quick traffic flow (for Lincoln, anyway).
About the only thing I would change here is to possibly put speed bumps in the parking lot. There are a couple of residents here with motorcycles who seem to think the parking lot is a motor speedway. They rev up their engines and drive as fast as they can, making all kinds of noise. It even sets off two or three car alarms on our side of the building. This happens every couple of days, and gets a little annoying. But hey, if the worst thing about this place is that one or two obnoxious residents bother me for just ten seconds every couple of days, then that's definitely a good sign. Almost everything else about this place has been a very good experience.
