The Links at Lincoln seemed great for the first month, but then our troubles started. The maintenance man stole things from many apartments. Security gates were installed, but now they are rarely closed. A lot of people don't clean up after their dogs. Many smokers throw their cigarette butts in the grass around the apartments. The playground wasn't built until more than half a year after we moved in, but it is for only ages 5-12. There's nothing for toddlers. Office staff and the manager are rude to residents--including yelling, rolling eyes, and claiming that kids can't be in the hot tub although the sign clearly states that no UN-supervised children can be in it. Management also said they would open the pool at the beginning of May, but did not schedule the inspector until the end of May or ensure that other regulations would be met. Therefore the pool was opened more than a month late. Also, this is the only apartment complex in dozens that I've contacted that requires residents to fill out a paper maintenance request during office hours. And don't forget to add another 20-30 dollars to your rent for water, sewer, trash--something that most other apartments provide. In short, if you want to live here, you'd better decide if you want to sacrifice cleanliness, safety, and good management. The only good thing is that neighbors are quiet.
