Since handing our deposit to them in Oct. of 2007 we have had problems!! We turned in our deposit in October, with a move-in date of January. We called them in November telling them we had got a dog. They told us we would then have to wait until a pet-friendly apartment became available in March. We did the right thing by calling but could have just lied to them. Then when we went in to sign our lease in January, after they agreed to just let us have the original apt. in a non pet building, they told us our dog was to big. MAYBE they should tell you they have a pet limit after you tell them you have a dog. By the way its a shiba inu- they had to google it before they would let us sign. Oh and by the way, thier at the time Asst. Mgr, had THE SAME EXACT DOG. Hmmm. So we moved in late January, into a "NEW" apt. We had holes in our kitchen floor, the ice maker didnt work, our front door didnt seal closed, we were missing our window screens, meaning we could open out windows, unless we wanted to outdoors to come indoors, the paint was missing in some spots, and several kitchen drawers would not open. Writing this on the Move -in sheet, doesnt mean anything, you need to fill out SEPERATE maintenance request forms for each problem. So our move in problems took 4 weeks to fix. My boyfriend and I also had a motorcycle, which was parked right next to my car, so in March 2008 it was stolen only 15 feet from my front door. When contacting the office about it asking to see the sevalance tapes, they said the files for that night were corrupt!!!! Huh'' Inside job'' Also the gates are to be closed 9pm-5am as posted inside the club house. Ya well they arent. What a waste of money- pretty sure everyones pays $25 for the gate keys... and you dont need them. The bike was never found, and the day after it got stolen the property manager had the nerve to call me and ask me if i still wanted a job with them. YAAAA sign me up for that one. The staff is constatly changing, which is understandable since they proably get yelled at by any resident under the age of 30, since they only cater to older tenants. In June our a.c. broke, and leaked all over our floor. It took 2 days for them to come and just look at it, and it took a total of 8 days for it to get fixed. Then they left a hole in the ceiling after fixing it. So about a month went by and still a hole. My boyfriend went up to the clubhouse and said is anyone ever going to fix it , and their response was "fill out a maintenance request for" EVEN THOUGH THEY are the ones responsible for it!! Well it got fixed but it is still unpainted. THEN in JULY we had a leak inside our wall. They thought it was the nieghbors apt, when it was inside our. We wasted towls, laundry detergent, and many loads of laundry and energy usage, to clean them. It took them 14 days to fix it. We now have mold on our WALLS since they didnt re-do the dry wall. And when they painted a spot that was missing paint, they dripped paint all over my kitchen table, but it came right off. But that is beyond the point. Today is what finally set me off. I got a notice on my door stating that my water bill was past due of 30 days. I was confused so i pulled my last bill out. It was due on aug 4th. so ok i didnt pay the correct amount. when i followed the directions on my notice as stated I went to the office told them that i had paid it, then i told the office lady to check her match- because 30 days past due would have made my bill due on the 22of july!! All said and done, they have a very unprofessional staff working here and the property mgt. in horrible. Dont bother calling corporate because they do less then the prop. mgrs. do. DONT MOVE HERE UNLESS YOU FEEL LIKE DEALING WITH CONSTANT PROBLEMS, HORRIBLE STAFF MEMBERS, CRAPPY GOLF COURSE, TRASHY TENANTS, AND CONSTANT HEADACHES.
And if the apt complex sees this, im sure you know who wrote this. If you guys want to keep your business then re-evaluate how you guys are running your property!!!!!!!!!
