An awful experience!

I lived at the Lodge (Amberwood, when I moved in) for about 2 years. My lease is now up and I am free!

I had a host of problems from day one. The apartment had terrible insulation and the furnace was inefficient, causing me to have to pay the electric company $180/month (on the budget plan, nonetheless). Calls to have the furnace inspected resulted in the late arrival of a fellow who simply looked at it for 30 seconds and said it was okay.

Mind you, this same fellow replaced the furnace filter with one that was too big, so it always fell off. I asked about this and he stated they only buy one size, so people with my furnace style, and I quote "are SOL".
What a professional.

They started charging for utilities and that was the nail in the coffin. I get a bill for about $24 a month for trash/water/sewage. They claim they measure the water usage monthly. This is an inaccurate claim on their behalf, since I was out of town for 3 weeks and I still managed to use about the same amount of water. I don't know how that can be, since my electricity use was down by 70% according to the electric company.

Beware of the "renovated" units. All they have done is put tile in the bathroom, fake wood floors in the kitchen and repainted the cabinets. They are not new cabinets as they are telling people. (Upon closer inspection, one will noticed they are the same old ones in the other apartments.) They are only putting new carpet in some units. They painted all the walls white, except for a contrast wall in each room.

That is not a renovation. It is simply an update. It is not worth the extra rent. Trust me, its not. Faulty furnaces and poor insulation issues are not addressed. They have put in new windows, but it still is not helping.

The staff are, in my opinion, okay people. They are all simply doing what they are told to do by their corporate office: "Nolan Real Estate Services" of Overland Park, KS. Its a shady operation, from what I have been able to gather. They have NO website. 9 year olds, these days, have websties. Nolan Real Estate Services, does not. That says a lot right there.

Overall, don't live here. Don't even take the time to look at the place, you'll just be wasting your time.
