Worst place ever.

I could not wait to move out of this place. The rent is ridiculous. We had terrible bug problems, especially ants. I called repeatedly to get this taken care of and was told I would have to wait until the monthly spray date. I'm sorry but when my kitchen is overrun with ants to the point where I can't even make dinner, it sure as heck better be fixed that day. I shouldn't have had to wait over a week for this to be taken care of. I've never had to pay so much for utilities for an apartment. Not sure why this is, but my bill was always over $100 and I hardly ever had the air on. The apartment was freezing in the winter because the windows were not sealed properly. I was treated like crap by two of the office ladies. For those of you who still live at ruskin place--watch out because the girls in the office have relatives and friends who live at ruskin (for free'') specifically to spy on the other residents. I was turned in because my boyfriend at spent a couple nights there and then had to pay $35 for an application fee just so he could spend the night there sometimes. Which, by the way, $35 for an application fee is effing ridiculous. It seems like the office was terribly rude and strict with those tenants who were following the rules and keeping to themselves, but they let the rude, disrespectful, loud, and dirty tenants get away with anything.
While I lived there the laundry went up from $3.00 a load to $3.25. Are you kidding me''!!
I had to call several times about people washing dog beds in the laundry room and leaving poo particles and rocks, sticks, etc. in the washer. Nothing was ever done about it.
After finally getting out of this place I found an apartment not a mile away, 2 bedroom 2 1/2 bath, huge rooms and huge kitchen, allows all sizes of dogs with NO PET RENT, the pet deposit was only $116. My utilities never total over $50.00. It's only $2.00 a laundry load. Oh, and I'm paying less than $500 for rent. 6TrHFn6pn7poyqNlKEgn

ya, I agree. the office managers are all lie to your face. ------ will just tell you what you want to hear and not do a damn thing about it. the ------, which i thinks name is -------, may be dumb but at least nicer than the other too. too expensive for the biggest ghetto crapper in town. I feel sorry for the guys that work their. the have to fix that sh**ty apt. on a daily bases. No wonder they just ride their atvs in circles all day lmao. Hopefully the owner reads these and cans this management.

I seriously could have written the review word for word. My experience is horrifying similar. The bugs are a HUGE problem. The utilities are OUTRAGEOUS. I moved out on May 7 and shut everything off and my utilities for the period of May 2 - May 29 were $77 for electric?!?! The windows are drafty. The office females are rude and that is being kind. I wasn't aware of the family members and friends living there to spy on residents but it completely makes sense. I repeatedly call the police for disturbances on my floor because the management refused to do anything. I would NEVER, NEVER, recommend Ruskin Place. I couldn't wait for my lease to expire. Good riddance. I live in a 2 bedroom house in a nice South neighborhood, with a fenced in yard and garage for the same price I was paying at Ruskin for a 1 bedroom.
