In all my rental history . . . worst apartment ever.

I have been a renter since I was 18 and this is by far the worst apartment for the money. Not luxury. The only part of the landscaping that looks nice is the part by the rental office. Always trash and garbage over-flowing from the dumpsters. They gutters are constantly plugged up, causing my patio to flood repeatedly and the entrance to be impassable (as the water dumps right there instead of going down the spout). The parking lot is not well lit and the lightbulbs in the front security lights repeatedly go out and don't get replaced until multiple complaints.
They never do maintainence on the apartments until something breaks . . . my central air hadn't been serviced in I don't know how long and as a result I used it for over a month with it barely working (hotter than heck in my apartment, but an LES bill of $150). Apparently it just needed some kind of freon or something added. But then after they fixed the air, they caused some kind of leak which flooded the carpet in my closet and bedroom. I had to drag everything out of my closet when it flooded, have them come in and tear up the carpet and then wait for several days while they ordered new carpet padding. They didn't want to replace the carpet, so we had to have two giant industrial fans run for two days to dry out the carpet. And now the carpet is really crappy looking . . . though I'm sure they will try to charge ME for it when I move. Right before the air conditioner problem, I had the upstairs apartment leak into my kitchen . . . it was dirty disgusting water that I had to clean up. After all that, they never even offered a $50 credit or anything and when I asked about it, the office manager told me it was not how many things went wrong with the apartment, but how fast they came and fixed them . . .
They constantly have problems with accounting and try to recharge us for things we have already paid for. I switched from a one bedroom to a two bedroom right at the beginning of my lease. Trying to get them to credit me properly was a nightmare! And the wsher/dryer that they had promised didn't come for more than two weeks after I had moved! I had put down a deposit on the two bedroom weeks before so they could go ahead and order it. But then after we moved in and found no washer, the office worker told me that they didn't order it until we signed the lease. But she was nice enough remind me that I could use the on-site facilities to wash my clothes.
Their package receipt policy is incredibly rude. They don't let you know that you have a package in the office and often times the delivery company doesn't either or the notice blows away. Most times that is ok because most people know if they have a package coming. However, if you are getting a surprise or unexpected present from someone, it's a problem. My sister sent me flowers for my birthday as a surprise and after I didn't say anything about them for two days, she told me that she had sent them. Turns out they were sitting in the office dying and nobody had thought to pick up the phone and call me!
There are so many more things wrong with this place . . . but I don't want to waste anymore time. Just find somewhere else to spend your hard earned rent money. The management is rude and the apartments are not in as good of shape or as clean as the model. I can't wait to graduate and move.

Did you put the picture of the return vent on here to make yourself look bad or is that supposed to make the apartment look bad? Anyone with any intelligence knows that what you have in that picture is caused by lack of regular cleaning on your part. Is the apartment company supposed to come do your regular cleanings for you?

Actually that was what it looked like when I moved in, but thanks for the uninformed comment.

I agree with you 100% we have only lived here for 3 months and I want out so bad! we have spiders in here so bad, and they made my husband and i wait for over a month before they would come and spray, We are killing almost 4 or 5 A DAY! its absoutly trashy here and all they get you with is the glits and glamor stet up right by the office this place is way not worth the money, noisy neighbors and drunk people trying to buzz themselves in and acidentally hit your buzzer waking you up at 2am. ------ place i tell ya...not worth the hard earned money at all...worthless piece of crapola!
