Because my roommate has a dog, we didn't really have a lot of options when it came to apartments. Waterbrook was the best value out of the places we looked. The complex is in a really nice part of town and I've always felt safe. The staff and maintenence are both really helpful and friendly. For a 2bed/2bath, the layout is really nice and the appliences and decor is all really new.

The only complaints/suggestions I have would mainly be about parking. I really wish the complex would hire a different company. MANY residents, myself included, have had problems with towing. I've seen a car get towed in the middle of the afternoon, when it was parked in a cross-hatched spot for ONLY the amount of time it took to unload their groceries. My brother got towed the within 3 hours the night before a Huskers game. He parked in the one available spot, thinking it was visitor parking because it was far away and by a dumpster, and had the worst time trying to get his car (and ticket/toiletries/MEDICINE (all in the car)) back the next day. Rahn's is definately shady. They don't allow people to retrieve their cars from their own lot. They agree to meet you at a gas station and charge you for an additional tow to that location. They kept pushing back the meeting time because it was "simply impossible" for him to get his car back, but when my brother said he would call his lawyer, they somehow managed to meet him at the gas station in 15 minutes. I've had neighbors that have also threatened to get lawyers involved and saved their cars from being towed. However, if people run out to move their cars, the tow man will refuse to let them move it. I once heard an argument where a car-owner offered to write the man a check for the $100 (before the car had even moved, mind you) and the tow man refused. Sorry to say so much about the parking, but if you plan on having a lot of company, I'd definately reconsider. Other complaints include being able to hear EVERY step my upstairs neighbors take and residents not cleaning up after their pets. The complex fines you for not cleaning up after your pets, but it's obviously really hard to catch people in the act.
