We lived here for 3.5 years. The maintenace staff was super. Cliff Ramos does a fine job. Parking problems at times, road construction will be a major problem for the next year and a half.
We had major health concerns, such as mildew and black mold growth. It became a real issue. We had black spots on our carpet when we moved in and did not realize it was mold. We purchased our own carpet cleaner to cope with the spotting problems. I complained to manager only to fall on deaf ears. They had major leakage and seepage problems when forzen ice and snow melted and came seeping down the studs and into celings. We were on ground floor and our closet had black mold and rotten plaster as a result. The two front bedrooms had warped mop boards due to water seepage as well as mildew and mold in the carpets, still nothing from managment to fix it or make concession. Our front storage closet was filled with mold and mildew damage as well as rotting plaster and stud damage. The hardest part to accept was they KEPT $19.85 for Depreciation of the carpet from our deposit after keeping the agreed upon $200 for pet deposit. This carpet was damaged and needs to be replaced. I was told carpet depreciation is the renters expense' Not the owners' Interesting concept the IRS would wonder about I bet' They charged for useage (Depreciation) of the carpet. I did not sign anything in my contract which indicated depreciation was my rersponsibility.Maybe a good sign they did not charge for the use of light sockets and refrigerator as well' My advice is beware before leasing from these folks, They raised the rent annually after all of this So after 3.5 years, over $40,000, I felt somewhat taken aback, not to mention medic al bills my mother -ion law had with respirtatory problems. Whcih by the way have ceased since we moved out. This is not an equitable move to say the least, I could write more comments and management attitude, but wil let others know of those discussions.
PS Pool and workout area small, very confining, and very restrictive, but generally clean. So BEWARE
