The quality of the management has declined over the years. At least it isn?t crawling with roaches (knock on wood). However...


The ground slopes DOWN in all directions toward the building I occupy. During every heavy rain the bottom floor (garden level) gets as much as three inches of water in it. Heaven knows how much of the structural wood is rotting.


All the dampness means lots of mold. Once drywall becomes encrusted in mold, it must be removed and replaced. Good luck getting them to do that.


Plumbing is leaking over a neighbor?s bathroom, now the moldy ceiling is starting to come down.


Dryer was cleaned of lint only after calling the local fire inspector. They only did a so-so job (and it?s getting dirty again).


Only one set of laundry machines for twelve units. If you want to live in a Belgrade apartment, choose one located near a Laundromat.


Repair requests can take a long time to fix. You sometimes have to phone several times to get something done; if you want it done, better to put it in writing (that doesn?t always work, either).


More often than not, shortcuts are taken while making repairs.


When the neighbors smoke, so do you. The smell gets into your apartment. Likewise, if your neighbor (particularly the ones right next to/under/above you) like strong-smelling cuisine, you?ll know it.


If you want the parking lot cleaned of ice/snow, you usually have to do it yourself. Parking lot turns into ice rink in winter.


Last year, neighbors were suspected of being drug dealers with the classic signs (many cars coming at odd hours and leaving only a few minutes later) and suspicious/unruly persons coming and going. During their stay the front "security" door was broken in. They were evicted about 3 months after they moved in (with lots of phone calls from neighbors) but I wonder how thouroughly their background was checked.
