I lived in Biltmore for 1 year...too long. Everything that I wrote on my move in checklist that needed repairs still needed to be done a year after move-in. My apartment reeked of cigarette smoke 24/7. It smelled like I was a full time smoker in my apartment--my furniture still stinks. My parents couldn't even stay with me it made them so sick. Upon move out, I spent 8 hours cleaning my apartment--going above and beyond (even pulling out the appliances, cleaning the ceiling fans/blinds, etc) I had a friend patch all the nail holes and touch up the paint and I rented a carpet cleaner. I took pictures...it looked IMACULATE. Completely move-in ready. Obviously, I really wanted my $500 deposit back! 8 months later I still have yet to receive my deposit or even an itemized copy of what I was charged for. And it seems that no one wants to help me. As if I didn't pay enough in rent for the little bitty apartment I had, they had to take that too. I heard lots of rumors about this, but didn't believe it until it happened to me too.
