You Do NOT Get What You Pay For

Years at this apartment: 2008 - 2009
I moved in to this community in September 2008.
I moved in to find wires hanging from the ceiling in my dining room. I had no dining room light and I had loose wires dangling above the dining room table.
Second, I had 4 light bulbs burnt out on move in and the apartment was not clean. There was at least 2 inches of dust on all the woodwork. I certainly was more than irritated that I personally had to spend 4 hours cleaning an apartment that costs more than $900 per month in Omaha.
When winter hit, we were all told we could not use our fireplaces. Just last Thursday - Jan 8th, 2009, we could finally use them. I normally would not care... but the cheap windows (though beautiful) they used in the apartments allow so much wind through, your curtains actually move. So just imagine how expensive it is to heat the apartment. I moved here from a 4 bedroom, 2400 square foot house and that house was cheaper to heat than the apartment. BY FAR!
Depending on the floor plan, the den is almost two cold to even utilize. It is absolutely freezing in there. Please understand, I'm a 20-something that actually likes it a bit cooler in the apartment, but this is ridiculous.
I'm upset that my first choice to move up to a "luxury" setting was this place. I have NOT gotten what I've paid for.
Lastly, the way they maintain the parking lot during snow is formiddable. Definitely not what you expect when you pay this high of rent.
