Capitol Hill Apartments
AVERAGE RATING

This is my first year in Omaha. I came here to attend law school at Creighton. The staff in the office were very helpful to me whenever I have asked for anything. They have gone out of their way to accomodate my requests. There are a few things that I have noticed that may need attention. First, the elevators need to be updated. They have their own little quirks but are sufficient for now. There are other things that could be updated, however, I think this is not the best forum for that discussion.
I feel as if there needs to be serious money spent updating the structure and changing the paint schemes to reflect the charming atmosphere created by the apartment staff. They are cheerful and bright and the view of the interior of the building is dull and boring. There is also tooooooo much pink. I am a male student and the greatest aversion for my friends to rent here is the pink appliances and pink interior of the units. I would suggest a beige or eggshell white interior. That way the furniture of the residents would not clash as much.
I have a parking space in the garage and it is great when it frosts and I am sure it will be great when it snows. I would suggest that painted lines be applied to the parking area on the side streets and out front so that "parking hogs" would not be able to discourage community parking. I know that is probably a city street issue but the request could be made by the apartment owner. Too often guests cannot park near due to the poor parking job of the parallel parkers.
The maintenance crew has done a superb job of working in my unit whenever it has been necessary. They have given me a shedule and have stuck to that schedule - unless circumstances prevented it.
I would like to see some sort of wireless internet access for the study room. It is a place where our study group considered but passed on since we could not get access to the web from that room. We had to go to my apartment and it was not enough room.
Capital Hill is a great place to live. It is quiet and it has a great amount of amenities to support education as well as personal living if you do not want roommates and have your own desire for space of your own.
