The Bad with the Good
From: -Anonymous-Date posted: 10/3/2002
Years at this apartment: 1999 - 2001
First the Good:
Cable and Internet
Spacious - Large Rooms, Kitchen, Bathroom
New Appliances - Self Cleaning Oven, Frost-Free Fridge
Central Heating and Air
Balconies & Patios
Heat, Water, Trash Paid
Now the Bad:
Terrible Location - Very hard to get out in the morning and turn left. Hope that your car has good winter tires otherwise the steep hill out is a pain.
Bad Neighbors - We had someone living next to us that didn?t work and would play his music loud from 11 AM to 5 PM. We also had someone hit our car (nice shock in the morning) and not leave a note or anything, and when we found out who it was they wouldn?t pay for the damages until 6 months later. Also the tenants love to leave their laundry in the washers and dryers - sometimes for days.
Dirty Grounds - There really aren?t any grounds, but there were always broken beer bottles and trash lying about.
Parking - Not enough parking and it?s very hard to back out since it?s really only one lane and most of the time people are parallel parked behind you. If you don?t move your car at least once every two days, expect it to get towed - we had to pay $180 in cash to get it back.
Crime - Our car was broken into and some stuff was stolen out of it, there is always someone?s side window busted out and the glass all over the parking lot.
UnSafe - No deadbolt, poorly lit parking
Exercise Room & Sauna - Really not much of anything, all the equipment was broken.
No Elevator - Try lugging up an oak desk to the third floor along with a 22" tv and computer montiors. Then when you move out, try lugging it back down.
There are other apartments that are a lot better for the money.
