Definitely Not a Good Experience

Years at this apartment: 2004 - 2007
I lived here three years. My lease expired in May 2007 and I was given a "Sign or Leave" notice. Because I didn't sign, the apartment was re-let for the first of July. I had paid through June 30. Obviously this timeframe was going to cause mgmt. a problem. After playing the game of back and forth and NP Dodge stooping to all new sublevels to get me out a week early, I gave in and moved out on the 24th. It wasn't worth the hassle to fight with them any longer, as the office staff switches over constantly and I never knew whom I was supposed to be talking to - who was the mgr. and who was simply an office drone.
That being said....I was a v. low-maint. tenant. I put in three service calls during my entire time there and it was all for the same thing - my ceiling leaked. Everywhere - all over my entire apartment, there was water damage. As far as I could tell, NP Dodge hired the most incompetant maint. team for Country Club, as they would simply patch the ceiling repeatedly as opposed to actually fixing the leak. A maint. man called me for several months asking for a date. When I asked how he got my number, he said he took it from the apt. database. Apparently, though, the mgmt. did not see this as grounds for termination of the employee. Which was not suprising, as the property mgrs. were about the laziest people I had ever seen. Everytime I went into the office, when I COULD find someone around, they were always eating. Nothing against eating, but being spoken to over someone's dinner was disconcerting. Not to mention they always seemed to be eating meatloaf....seriously weird. Anyways, parking was awful, the kids in the complex were disgusting, and the pool was never clean. I expect the usual bugs and such, but this was disgusting. The phone was never answered and the staff apparently did not understand the concept of checking/returning messages. Not the worst of course. You know, if you're used to living in the slums with a bunch of overweight, meatloaf-eating imbeciles "taking care of" the property.
Oh - and having known a few people who are on the mgmt. staff, I have been kind in my description. But also note that I know for certain that the good reviews are written by the office staff. Sad.
