If you are a asian who cooks spicy food at home, Dont even think about this apartment. I lived here for 13 months and when I moved out, they charged me stating the apartment had curry smell inside the apartment. I dont know if it is yet another form of racial discrimination.

I am an Asian who cooks spicy foods but I am also an Asian who cooks regular foods - and am an Asian who knows exactly what the smell of old curry smells like and thinks it is absolutely disgusting. Of course you would be charged for it - it makes the entire apartment (not to mention hallways) smell wretched. It's not racial discrimination - it's smell discrimination and one that seems to be correctly applied.

This is totally unheard of anywhere else in the US.I would not stay in such a complex where they charge you based on the food you cook.

My family lived here for a couple years and absolutely loved it! As for the charge when the people moved out due to curry smell - when they moved out, I actually went into the apartment and not only did it smell awful, they had let their kids draw and color ALL over ALL of the walls in the living room and bedroom with pens, crayons, etc. Everything had to be gutted and redone, including toilets being ripped out. So yes, they deserve to be charged.
