I have lived here for 2 and half years and cannot wait to leave. I have had non stop bugs the entire time I've lived here. Utilities are extremely expensive, when it is very hot or very cold the heat/ac cannot keep up. In the past year I have had mold, which I was told was my fault because there was a leak in the apartment above mine. I have also had my kitchen sink overflow multiple times, at one point I woke up to standing water in the kitchen. The complex/neighborhood has gone hill significantly since I moved in. My neighbor had his truck stolen from the parking lot, and several times we have been given notice of break-ins in the complex. Any time I bring up any complaints Shellie manages to twist the situation around becauseyou know, her employees never do anything wrong.

In our defense I would like to clarify the above situations for anyone who has read the comment. I originally rented the apartment to Alice and although very reserved I felt she seemed like a sincere person. I think that each time we visit it must end up that there is just a big misunderstanding. I would like to say that Alice has never called in with a bug problem to our office. We spray for bugs two times a month upon request only. We do this because some people do not want us to spray for health reasons. If Alice would have called in this request we would have been more than happy to spray for her. I have checked with both utility companies and her average utilities total $60.00 per month. That is not for each utility, that is total. I feel that is pretty average and we always tell people that the utilities average between $60-$70 per month in an apartment of her size. The mold was in Alice's coat closet. When we received the call about the mold we went over to her apartment right away to discover that the mold had been there for a very long time due to the fact that it was on two of the closet walls and had grown over 5 feet tall. I would never think that this was Alice's fault. She did not do anything to cause this. What I did tell her is that it is very important that she call the office if she notices something like that right away. That is not something you want to put off. I told her that it is not good for her health and we would like to get a handle on it before it gets as bad as it did. At that moment she was very insulted, but it is my job to educate the residents so that they know how to handle future situations. We treated all of the mold, carpet, sealed, and painted with in a couple of days. We could not finish it in one day because materials had to dry before we could move on to the next step. Just the other day, Alice did say that her kitchen sink overflowed and I beleive her, but the two times that she did put in a request we would check the sink and it would drain quickly on both sides. Knowing this we still snaked the drain anyway just to insure that all was clear. At the time that she told me about the sink she said her garbage disposal just never worked right since she moved in and it was old and "yucky." We also went ahead and replaced this, although it was functioning correctly. I do not now which neighbor she is speaking of, regarding the stolen car and cannot speak of another's issues, but I do admit that on two seperate occasions I did send out letters when there were car break ins in this area. I did not do it because I feel as though this is a bad neighborhood, I did it out of respect to our residents. I think anyone would want to know if this was going on in their neighborhood. If this was a bad part of town this type of letter would not have been necessary. I am sorry if I sound on the defense. I do not feel this way. I just want everyone to know that this is a wonderful complex to live in. I really would like Alice to feel as though she ultimately had a good experience here. Thank you.
