We had an exceptionally poor experience living in this complex. Every negative comment other posters have made is true, in our experience. The management is unprofessional and uncaring. We made multiple complaints about the noise and mess in the building, and nothing was ever done about it. The noise level and conduct of other residents in the building were atrocious. Parties, loud stereos, and other disruptions were common, and nothing was ever done about it. The worst that would happen to a repeated troublemaker would be that they would be "asked to move out at the end of their lease." Meanwhile, the rest of us were just out of luck. Maintenance was poor to non-existent, and the buildings themselves are in poor condition. We had problems with our air conditioner every year, and had to call for service on it at least twice a year. Heaven help you if you live near the pool. The noise level from there was ridiculous. It wasn't at all unusual for people to pull their cars up directly in front of the pool and blare their car stereos so they could party. I never saw crimes occur directly, but I understand that a pizza delivery person was robbed in one building, which is why the neighborhood Pizza Hut won't deliver there. As one other person said, rents go up every year, sometimes substantially. Our rent went up $150 in the four years we lived there. I can't say enough bad things about this place except to say again that the things other people are saying about how bad it is are definitely true. We lived there until we saved enough money to buy a house, and we would never recommend it to anyone. I would especially not recommend it to anyone with a family. Everyone, especially children, deserves better than Fox Valley Apartments.
