I Can't Wait to Leave

My boyfriend and I have lived here for almost two years now. We got a great deal when we first signed on and re-signed our lease because we didn't have the time to search for a new place. The deal we had of course we weren't about to get again, they even charged us $30 a month for cable which we didn't even watch!
The apartment they showed us was beautiful! The apartment we got was not. The kitchen cabinets were an awful baby poop green color and it was clear that whomever painted the place just painted over the painters tape. They told us a lot of things when we moved in like the walls all had cement between them- not true, I can hear everything that goes on in the apartments above and next to me. They said they had security that monitor the parking lots- they have one guy who will maybe pass by the apartment every hour. They say they don t let section 8 in, but that s not true either.
We ve also had an assortment of neighbors, including a guy who beat his wife. One who played loud music at all hours of the morning, and people who do some heavy hits of pot.
For the most part, I've had a good experience with maintenance because they live in my building; however my kitchen sink and bathroom toilets do back up a lot and overflow. The one time I did have a problem with maintenance was when the guy dropped my camera in the toilet, I am a part-time photographer so he basically just trashed my work. When I called the next day to talk to the manager about it she was out of the office. I called back when they told me she'd be back and got yelled at by the woman who sits in the front office talking to her friends all day. She yelled at me because apparently I called the wrong number. I received $80 off of my next moths rent as compensation for something that was worth over $200 to me. When my boyfriend and I came in a week later to pay rent the same woman who yelled at me on the phone had the audacity to say that I yelled at her!
My boyfriend's car was broken in to and his subs were stolen and his dashboard was literally torn apart. The guy down the hall from me smokes really cheep pot and it reeks up the whole building.
Of course the worst part of it all was when my boyfriend was jumped by 6 guys who live in the apartment. They had gotten their car stuck up on one of the risers and he pulled over to help them after work one night. They were all drunk and one of them came after my boyfriend (who used to be a boxer), my boyfriend was able to take him down but then four of the other guys came after him. It was lucky he got out alive at all.
