Not worth the price

Years at this apartment: 2006 - 2007
I moved into this place because there was a move-in special. Well, as soon as I'd been here a year, the price jumped from $700 to $900.
The previous review was correct, the walls are much too thin. Almost every night I hear loud bass and music coming from somewhere in the building. The office told me there wasn't much that could be done. I started calling the police every night for 10 days straight. I'm not sure if the police just couldn't get through the security doors, or couldn't find where the music was coming from, or what, but it still happens, although it's down to 2 or 3 times a week (as if 2 or 3 times is good).
The office staff has for the most part been friendly, although obviously fake with their caring and polite attitudes. I've had 2 rent checks LOST by the office staff, who fought my idea for them to reimburse me for the stop payment fee.
The grounds are well-kept, although being woken up on your day off at 8 am to huge lawnmowers isn't much fun. When some irresponsible neighbor throws beer cans in the courtyard, they're picked up by the time I wake up in the morning, 95% of the time. I have rarely seen any bugs in my apartment, which is good for a ground floor unit. Just a beetle or two and a couple of spiders in the past year and a half.
The previous review was also correct in that the gym is a joke. If it's not overcrowded, the equipment sucks anyways, and there isn't much of it. The recreational area they have beneath the gym also has a small, crappy pooltable and a few other things that aren't really worth looking into. There is a raquetball court, which is unique for an apartment, but I don't play raquetball, so... Also, a place this big seems like it should have a pool.
Overall - decent place, but very overpriced.
PROS:
Washer/dryer hookups.
Fast and friendly repairmen.
Haven't needed to call for repairs more than 2 times that I can think of.
Security doors.
Lots of parking, depending on which building you're in. Mine is great.
Safe, somewhat quiet area (West Omaha).
CONS:
The price!
Super thin walls. Be a heavy sleeper or willing to move your bed to the other wall.
Not a bad place, but there are just too many other places that are comparable in size and quality that are $100-$300 cheaper, even in the same part of town.
