To put it bluntly, the place sucks. In fact, I don't really think that it's totally up to code if you ask me...I've got the photos to prove it.
It's kinda nice to have 1600sq.ft. of space, but the person who lived here before used metal shingling to make a "semi-private" bedroom. The person upstairs who must weigh no less than about 300lbs by the way they walk "thump..squeaky floorboards...thump..squeak..Im waiting for it to go *CRACK* Then I'll have some fat freak laying in my living room because the ceiling caved in. Anyway, the last posts were pretty much right. You can hear EVERYTHING that goes on, the dog upstairs whines like someone is trying to kill it..all..day..long. Thank the Gods I have a job and can at least go to work for 8.5 of those hours! The parking lot is VERY unsecured and we actually had our truck broken into and stolen. We wanted to go anywhere (In JANUARY) and we either took the bus or walked. The idiot of a landlord basically said "too bad, so sad." All it was missing was a condescending pat on the head.
Then there's the issue with the fire alarm going off for no reason at all whether drunk idiots pull it because they think it's funny, or something malfunctioned. The firemen are going to stop coming. In fact, no one even runs outside anymore when it goes off, if there is ever a real fire, we're all going to die.
Of course we can't forget the fact that the "laundry room" with 3 washers that usually work and 3 dryers that never work, (mind you this is for 5 floors of tenants) Again, we reiterate the "too bad, so sad."

I could pretty much rant on and on about this apartment complex, but I've covered just about everything that would give someone an inkling of an idea to find somewhere (ANYWHERE) else to live.
Oh, and if you you like to have a "view" when you look out your window, don't move here either, unless you like the views of parking lots and alleyways.

HAHAHAHAHAHAHA...OMG! It took me forever to stop laughing at this review; whomever wrote this is freaking hilarious! I just moved back here (it's my hometown) and wanted to live in the Old Market. I just put an offer in a The Old Market Lofts, but wanted to check these out cuz I knew they were much cheaper. I'm sure glad I found this site. Thanks for the laugh, I definitely needed it and will NEVER consider moving in here!! :)

We lived at the Lofts for nearly 2 years and I completely agree with the above review-safety and lack of privacy were terrible. We got sick of hearing the upstairs neighbor getting up to pee in the middle of the night or the same neighbor singing drunk for hours while I was trying to get my kid to bed. Loved the space and the unique floor plan we had-thats about it. It changed hands twice while we lived there, we decided to leave after finding out there was a meth lab in a basement apartment. the place has potential-too bad they can't find somebody who actually gives a crap to manage it.
