when we moved in, it was Candletree Apartments and it was terrible. the plumbing was our biggest concern. i didnt take these offenses quietly, because like anywhere else in the world if you do not make some noise you will almost always be taken advantage of. the new manager fixed all of our problems within a couple weeks of her arrival. i recommend speaking with her directly. and if your problems arent solved in a timely manner than other actions need to be taken by you. there are agencies in omaha that can assist you. but to call this place the ghetto is ridiculous. i know for a fact that it doesnt even compare to one. i do agree that there needs to be some serious supervision with the children that are allowed to run around the buildings, im almost loving the winter because they are all indoors, but come this summer i do not intend to keep quiet about feeling like my house is a daycare and im babysitting some 30 odd kids outside my home. there is a playground and when i moved here i was glad that my apartment was not by it. because of where i lived before i am alot more tolerant of the maintenance issues that are here and for the amount of space in my apartment, the good school that it is by, my new appliances and a full size washer and dryer, i wake up every morning and know that i am no longer living in the ghetto. my expectations are reasonable, i know that i am not living in a house so occasionally i will have to deal with or even hear my neighbors, thats life.
