I moved into this complex orginally in 1994 and lived there til 97. At that time the management staff was very good. I moved back in to this complex in 2005 based on my previous experience.. BIG MISTAKE!!!
While they have updated the clubhouse and it looks great, and the outside of the apartments are cleaner and in good repair.
It seems as if they have 2 maintenance guys for 400 plus units which means it takes forever for them to get to whatever you need done.
Case in point they cut a hole of about 2' x 3' in the guest bathroom ceiling to do some plumbing repairs and that whole remained for 4 months! Once when checking for a gas leak one of the maintenance guys got out his lighter and flipped it on to check for the leak. I immediately got my kids out of the apartment while they were doing this.
Also I had my apartment broken into by another tenant that lived in the community the son of a resident. He stole about 1000.00 worth of stuff and was caught and found guilty of theft, after this had happened I called the manager and she would not evict the family regardless of what he was found guilty on and they were allowed to remain here. This boy continually caused problems in the community at the pool during the summer lighting fireworks in the pool area (cops were called) the family also had a pit bull which nothing was done about that either.
The pool while nice when you can use it every year it is suppose to open at the end of May but somehow they can't seem to get it approved and rarely is open til late June.
In the past 4 years management has shown signs of improvement, however the crime and lack of quality residents make this a horrible place to live.
I blame ownership for not giving them enough maintenance personell, they are overworked and that is when mistakes happen.

My apartment was broken into by someone who had a key. They refused to change the lock. The told me I was to get a newly remodeled apartment and they refused to allow me to see it until moving day. I got stuck in a 1970's dump with fresh paint and used appliances. It was NOT the super nice one they showed me with granite tops and new cabinetry. Then the huge glass patio door fell out and almost fell on my daughter. They said they would replace it because it was old. All they did was put 2 panhead screws in the track. I was infested with ants and silverfish which they claimed they couldn't get rid of because they were attracted to the cedar. It was nasty waking up to those in crawling on your face! After 6 months of harrassment and frankly, poor maintenance and management, I moved out, breaking my lease. A few months later they sent me a letter for a bill that totalled over $2,000. I was shocked to see they accused me of stealing their appliances!!! I have pictures of when I moved out that show the appliances still in place and I even shampooed the carpets. What kind of thief would shampoo carpets and wash walls if they were going to steal everything that wasn't attached? I refuse to pay them and they continue to harrass me, even after 3 years! I told them to take me to court.......and they still haven't. Congratulations on getting out of that rip off ghetto!

We are still here, but we are moving in a week. They want to charge me a full months rent for April even though I gave my notice on Mar 2 ( a full 30 days). I've given these clowns over 41k in rent and I'm done my kids are excited as we are moving into a 3300 square foot house in a great area and it will be worth it. Glad to get away from this ghetto.
I can't believe they tried to make you pay for stolen appliances. This place is scary folks STAY AWAY!!!
