I'll just follow this website's criteria:

Parking: Not bad during the day, but at night it can get very full. Not much room for people with more than one car. I didn't hear of any break ins while I was there.

Noise: It's an apartment. Sometimes it's noisy and sometimes it isn't. Nothing better or worse than any other apartment complex.

Grounds: They are fine, unless you are walking in the grass! It's a mine field of dog poo! The staff kept reminding people in newsletters, and after months some people started getting better about cleaning up after their pets. Not sure if this can be avoided at any place, some people are just gross.

Safety: We were supposed to have secured buildings, but often the front door with the key pad was broken and our neighbors would leave the back doors propped open. Nothing secure about that! Also, I noticed several times when I was out at night that lights would be out. I reported some of the outages, but it was a toss up whether they would fix it.

Construction/Maintenance: These buildings are old and need a lot of work. One huge issue was ceiling leaks, and the lack of the staff/maintenance to respond. Another issue is poor insulation. In the winter there was frost inside our balcony door because of leaks. I could go on for a while, but bottom line is, the buildings are old and they need to invest the time and money to repair and update their homes.

Staff: I was never impressed with the kindness or courtesy of the staff. They seemed inconvenienced when I reported maintenance problems, and when I went to leave, I just got stupid looks at my questions about my deposit. They were also very rude to my parents during a meeting.

Some other things to keep in mind: I got big time screwed out of my deposit over things like cleanliness of things I never used, such as under the sink. Working with the staff and maintenance was a weekly thing for the first several months I lived there, and they were slow to respond and just seemed bothered that I was asking them to do their job. I wouldn't recommend this place. Just not a good experience.
