It's ok...

Years at this apartment: 2005 - 2006
I lived here for a year and over all loved my apartment. There were a few problems however...
When I moved in there were still huge stains on the carpet in some areas and I even had to get the carpet in my closet replaced b/c it was yellow and smelled like cat pee.
The cupboards and drawers are very poorly put together. Some of my cupboard doors wouldn't shut all the way or the ones in the kitchen were always hitting the ceiling because it was on crooked.
We had to get our refrigerator replaced once and our air conditioner broke numerous times, but it was always taken care of.
The management is poor however. Basically if you're under the age of 25 Drexel will treat you like you're completely incompetent. The first time we got a noise complaint he called my roommates parents b/c they had co-signed for her. However, I was old enough that I did not need a co-signer and I never received a phone call. So when I called to ask why he said he had called my parents, well turned out that was a lie. He treated me like I was stupid and I did NOT appreciate it. But the other people in the office were very polite.
The maintenance guy was kind of weird. He told Drexel that my roommate and I were rude to him (and it's very possible that my roommate was) but I was working full time and I never had even seen him! He also tried to tell us that we couldn't have locks on our bedroom doors. Well we never took them off and never gave them the keys to them either (like they requested). I couldn't believe they thought they needed to be able to come into our bedrooms whenever they wanted. They eventually dropped it b/c we weren't budging.
The person that wrote a review saying they've never seen so many bugs in their life is lying. I saw one single ant for the entire year I lived there. That is definitely something I liked about the place.
It does have a very homey feeling to it though and I never felt unsafe.
We did get noise complaints a few times and most of the time is wasn't us. The neighbors across the street from us apparently assumed it was us every time they heard noise. The people below me were constantly bumping their bass on their stereo, so loud that it shook our floor.
I loved the pool being right next to my building and it is a very pretty complex.
I left because they were raising the rent and for the poor quality of my apartment it definitely wasn't worth it anymore.
