We moved into Rock Creek apartments and were mislead by the model apartment shown to us. The apartment was dirty, the carpet looked like it had not been shampooed, there was a cat urine stain/smell in the master bedroom, stains on the carpet, hair still in the bath tub, and I had to scrub the bathroom floor before moving in. After a few months of living there, a bug problem began to creep up on us. I didn't report the silverfish that we saw, thinking I needed to see more before I reported a problem. After a month, they started to multiply and we were seeeing 3-4 a day on our ceilings and walls. I reported it to the office and they sprayed a couple of weeks later. The problem got worse, and they just sprayed in the apartment rather than take care of the problem in the attic. When the count got to 11-12 a day we were killing, and they began to be in our linens, the management took slow action and were extremely rude and snotty to us as we were trying to help the issue, not move. When push got to shove, we decided to give them a 14 day repair/problem notice, it wasn't fixed, and the management continued to be a pain. We terminated our lease due to the bug problem. After we moved out, we received a notice that we would have to pay $200 and some for the stains and dirtiness that we left behind. The stains were the original stains that were there, and I even indicated this on the move-in checklist. They said they have pictures, but it was what was there, but there were no pictures of what was there when we moved in! Needless to say, it's been a headache, dirty, and a place I get embarrassed to say we called home for a 10 month period of time. The hallways and stairwells show exactly the dirty conditions....spider webs, dark halls, etc. This is an honest statement, and a review for those looking to call a place home.

Oh no. We JUST signed a lease... What number? I will FREAK OUT if we have bugs. :(
