OLD MARKET LOSS

I moved into the Old Market Lofts thinking that I would be surrounded by other people with a respect for the pricey environment they lived in, and hopefully more in tune with the cultural opportunities readily accesible in the downtown area.
NOPE.
The building is filled with rowdy, loud, pretentious students and other people who seem to be quite misplaced in the downtown atmosphere. Every morning the elevators are messy, smelly, and it's not uncommon to be suprised by the skillful placement of empty beer containers in the most unique places.
Tenants feel the freedom to have loud conversations at all hours of the night in commom areas, and the drunkards returning to their cars at night are plenty loud, so listening to their conversations through open windows is part of standard entertainment.
There are some great features of the building itself, and the staff is quite friendly. The building's got great potential, but it would be much better if the irresponsible elements were eliminated and/or some type of consequence could be dealt for inappropriate behavior.
Instead, the screw-ups get the rooftop closed at 1 AM instead of the screw-ups getting booted so the rest of us could hot tub till 2 or 3 if we want to.
