I am a Section 8 renter, as are most of the people here. However, I do not appreciate being treated as less important of a resident than those who pay full rent. Those FEW renters that I have met who pay full rent are no different than those of us who are getting help. It seems to be a magnet for people who are mentally unstable and have no respect for their neighbors. There is so much gossip and drama I feel like I live in an episode of Desperate Housewives. The management is very rude. The current manager acts like you are bothering her if you go into the office with a complaint or repair request. I have yet to see her crack a smile. She has been known to talk about residents with other residents, and share personal information. The property managers, Seldin, do not seem to care what the residents have to say about the on site managers. The 'security' is a joke. When the police have to be called, which is often, they seem to act overly aggressive to people, (due to the Section 8 status imo.) even the persons' who called for their help. The care of the property has gone downhill in the time I have lived here. Buildings are falling apart. They 'patch' appliances that are broken. The sidewalks are cracked and the streets have potholes. Our electricity goes out with almost every storm. Children run wild in the streets and are unsupervised by the parents. Young children dart out from behind parked cars on a daily basis. I'm waiting for the day one gets hit by a car. I would not recommend this complex to anyone, and have finally had enough myself.
